The normal workload for a semester is 30 credits and 60 credits for the full academic year. You can take less but you must be approved to do so by your home university.

The maximum number of credits you can register for is 30 credits for one semester or 60 credits for the full year.

UCC does not have a minimum requirement for visiting students. You are advised to consult with your home university to confirm their minimum requirement. Please note that failure to register for a full time course load may affect your financial aid/Erasmus grant or full time status at your home university.

If the module is not on the module listing it is not open to visiting students. You should choose an alternative module.

If you select a module that requires departmental/school approval, a request will be sent on your behalf by the International Office to the relevant department/school for consideration. Your account will be updated when the department/school have made a decision. Requests will be sent after the Module Selection Portal closes.

It will take approximately 3 weeks for approvals/refusals to be processed. You will receive a notification when a decision has been reached. Please do NOT contact the departments directly

Departmental/School decisions are final. If you have been refused a module you will need to choose an alternative module.

You will be notified by email the deadline to drop a class. After that date the module will remain on your transcript as an absent or fail. The deadline is usually at the end of the second week in the semester.
